About Rex

If you’re looking for a funnel, there isn’t one here.

If you’re looking for a course, there isn’t one of those either.

This site exists for a simpler reason:

It’s where I put the things I think about.

For three decades, I practiced law — real estate and bankruptcy — in federal court. That meant statutes that contradicted each other. Contracts that said one thing and implied another. Situations where the consequences of ambiguity showed up years later, not immediately.

Clarity wasn’t aesthetic. It was structural.

You either understood the implications, or you eventually paid for not understanding them.

In 2009, while still practicing law, I began building a parallel path in technology consulting. Over time, that work grew. The legal practice slowed. The technology work expanded. Eventually I retired from practicing law and shifted fully into advising firms on technology and, more recently, AI governance.

That’s the formal version.

The less formal version is this:

I’ve always been interested in how systems think.

How rules get interpreted.
How language shapes outcomes.
How tools quietly change behavior long before anyone notices.

When AI began entering professional practice, I didn’t see it as a productivity hack. I saw it as a structural shift in how judgment is exercised, documented, and defended.

That observation became Desert Sage AI — my advisory work with law firms and accounting firms.

But not everything fits neatly inside a professional advisory website.

Some ideas are exploratory.
Some are relational.
Some are about what it feels like to think with an intelligence that doesn’t sleep and doesn’t take things personally.

This site is where those thoughts live.

You’ll find:

• Reflections on AI and professional judgment
• Conversations about co-thinking with machine intelligence
• Experiments in audio and AI-generated voice
• Occasionally, something that feels “friggin’ amazing”

Not optimized.
Not scaled.
Not engineered for attention.

Just documented.
